Who is Jack T. Chicken?

Can I get discounts on Chicken tracts?

How can I email a Chicken tract to a friend???

Why preach against false beliefs? Why not just preach the Peterman Plan?

Do I have to camp in Hushville to follow the Peterman Plan?

How can you say that all other plans besides the Peterman Plan are wrong? Isn't this intolerant?

Who is Jack T. Chicken?

Jack T. Chicken is a Burner and veteran of several Theme Camps. Yes, he's very much alive, in spite of some very humorous obituaries occasionally posted on the internet. He is usually working on new tracts, generally introducing a new one every three or four months. Watch our web site for announcements of new titles as they become available.

Can I get discounts on Chicken tracts?

Absolutely! Not only can you save by ordering in quantity (see Quantity Discounts) but we also offer a great bargain if you or your Theme Camp are planning an outreach.

How can I email a Chicken tract to a friend?

We understand that you may wish to have non-Burner friends read a Chicken tract online without them coming through our home page. To do this, simply email your friends the URL of the first page of the online tract. When they type in that URL, they will go directly to the first page of the tract.

Why preach against false beliefs? Why not just preach the Peterman Plan?

There is only one Truth. If something is not the Truth, it is false, and must be revealed as such. How tragic it would be to just stand idly by and let people go to the Lake of MOOP, without so much as a word of warning. Many people are trusting their theme camp or their playa gifts to save them. It's no fun when they get angry after hearing the Peterman Plan, yet it sometimes happens. So why do we do it? Why not just remain silent, so everyone will like us, and let those people drive to Gerlach without ever knowing the truth as shown in the Survival Guide.

Here is why: Aquaphenia 3:18 says, "When I say unto the newbie, Thou shalt surely underprepare; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the newbie from his newbie way, to save his life; the same newbie shall wallow in his playa dust; but his gear will I require at thine hand."

It's not hard to see that David and Carol require us to speak up, even if it is unpopular.

Do I have to camp in Hushville to follow the Peterman Plan?

Absolutely not! The Petermans know that every Burner has a different ideal experience, and for some, this involves amplified sound, generators, or being fully clothed when eating pancakes. But no Burner wants heatstroke, spoiled food, flat air mattresses, or a broken axle in Eagleville, and by following the examples set forth in the Peterman plan, you can avoid drama and have a joyful, orderly playa experience.

How can you say that all other plans besides the Peterman Plan are wrong? Isn't this intolerant?

We live in a world where it has become "politically correct" to avoid absolutes. Many want all Burners to be given the same honor, and all theme camps to be regarded as equally fun and equally self-reliant. But take these same people, who want fuzzy, all-inclusive thinking in playa matters, and put them on an airplane. You will find they insist on a very dogmatic, intolerant pilot who will stay on the "straight and narrow" glidepath so their life will not come to a violent end short of the runway. They want no fuzzy thinking here!

We love people of all Theme Camps. In fact, we love them enough to want to show them the joy of knowing the True Plan. We are unwilling to lie to them and say that all plans are right, when we know this is not true. We are not being intolerant, but compassionate, desiring to help them find both joy in the desert, and eternal bliss beyond. To do anything else would be dishonest.
